About

Meet the Artist

The "Crafting Your Story Through Quilting" workshop is an adaptation of a project Liberty Worth created in 2021 as an Inbreak Resident. Her original residency project is titled "Where We Have Been, and Where We Hope to Be". The project ultimately became a series of quilt collaborations between Liberty and several members of her community. Liberty and her collaborators co-created the series as a meditation on grief, hopes, and history.

Liberty Worth is a native of Los Angeles - a city of grit, diversity and great natural beauty. Influenced by the power of art and nature to soothe trauma and bring peace, she creates works that reflect natural wonder and quiet beauty from both new and discarded or repurposed materials.
